THE AUSTRALIAN SONGWRITERS ASSCOTIATION
The Australian Songwriters Association is a national, non-profit, member organisation dedicated to the support of songwriters and their art, through providing avenues for encouragement and education of developing Australian songwriters, and recognition and promotion of our accomplished members.
HOW THE ASA HELPS AUSTRALIAN SONGWRITERS:
Provides feedback, education and songwriting resources to help songwriters improve their craft and develop professionally.
Creates performance opportunities through its nationwide WAX Lyrical showcases and other live events where songwriters can share original music.
Offers networking and industry connections by bringing songwriters together and helping members connect with music industry professionals.
Runs the Australian Songwriting Contest, giving songwriters opportunities for recognition, feedback, exposure and career development.

Offers advice and support on topics such as grants, music careers, industry engagement, legal issues and professional practice.
Advocates for Canberra's music community, working with government and industry to create more opportunities, stronger policies and a healthier local music scene.
THE AUSTRALASIAN PERFORMING RIGHT ASSOCIATION
The Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) administers and licenses the public performance and communication of musical works, ensuring music creators can be paid when their songs and compositions are performed live, broadcast, streamed, or played in business or other public settings.
APRA represents more than 128,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and other Pacific territories.
