Four WAX Songwriters Shortlisted in the 2026 ASA Song Contest!
Our little song circle is punching well above its weight! We're thrilled to congratulate four regular WAX Lyrical Song-Circlers who have been shortlisted in the 2026 Australian Songwriting Contest.
A huge congratulations to:
Jedda Do — Jedda, with her band ‘Daybed Promises’ has been shortlisted with “Old Soul” and living up to theirpledge to bring you “wistful sunlit folk pop” from the capital!
Danny V — Bungendore-based songwriter who has been writing and performing since the early 1970s, Danny draws on a lifetime of musical experience across folk, blues, rock, ballads and indie music to craft his own distinctive songs. Danny has been shortlisted with “Jody”
Lachlan Irvine —Lachlan draws often on his experiences as an Australian Vietnam veteran, with his songwriting forming part of his longstanding advocacy for the recognition, stories and experiences of veterans. Lachlan has been shortlisted with “As The Years Go By”
Ian Paulin— …And our fearless leader with his song Intuition!
